LegalTech Match brings AI Clarity to law firms through community, consulting, and content.
In this demo, Jan Roggen speaks with Arnaud from Claimbee about how their AI-powered platform automates personal injury calculations and centralizes the fragmented tools lawyers currently rely on into one smart, accessible workflow.
Below you'll find the key questions and answers from the interview. Watch the full demo below to see the platform in action.
1. What is Claimbee?
Claimbee is the smartest personal injury ("letselschade" in Dutch) platform, built by three technical founders to bring smart technology to legal experts in a highly accessible way.
The platform centralizes the entire damage calculation workflow, from automated data extraction out of medical and expert documents to complex calculations and final export into a formatted damage claim, eliminating the manual, fragmented multi-tool process lawyers still rely on today.
2. Who is your ideal customer?
Claimbee primarily serves:
Lawyers and law firms specializing in "letselschade" (personal injury damages)
Both victim-side and insurer-side legal professionals
Insurance companies managing damage files internally
The ideal customer is a legal professional in Flanders who currently juggles multiple spreadsheets, tools, and tables to calculate damages, and wants to replace that with one unified, structured platform.
3. Who uses Claimbee?
Typical users include:
Lawyers handling "letselschade" dossiers who perform the core calculations
Junior lawyers and trainees who need to be onboarded into the workflow
Colleagues covering dossiers for absent team members
Insurance companies processing damage files at scale
The entire team works inside the platform, from document upload and data extraction to final claim export.
4. What pain or problem are you solving?
Personal injury calculations are manual, repetitive, and scattered across too many tools. Claimbee eliminates:
Having 8 to 10 different tools and tabs open simultaneously for a single file
Manually copying and pasting data from medical reports into Excel or Word
Using separate tools for capitalization tables, interest calculations, and distance estimates
Difficulty handing off dossiers to colleagues due to lack of a uniform structure
Uncertainty about whether complex calculations were done correctly
The result is a fragmented, frustrating process that takes far longer than it should, and still carries the risk of errors.
5. What is the value of solving this problem?
Centralizing the personal injury workflow delivers:
Immediate damage estimates to share with clients in minutes, not days or weeks
Greatly reduced time on copy-paste-heavy, repetitive tasks
A uniform workflow that makes onboarding new lawyers and trainees straightforward
Easy dossier handover within a firm, even when colleagues are on leave
Confidence in complex calculations, removing uncertainty from the process
Multiple versions of one dossier side by side for comparing calculation methods
The real value is giving lawyers back the enjoyment of their work by removing everything that was tedious and error-prone.
6. How do you integrate with other products?
Claimbee currently works as a standalone platform, with easy export options to Word and PDF. It already includes:
A built-in Google Maps integration for automatic distance calculations
Copy-to-Word functionality that pastes formatted tables directly into existing documents
PDF and Word export of complete damage overviews
Active conversations are underway with legal software providers to build deeper integrations, because Claimbee's goal is not to become yet another standalone tool lawyers have to switch between.
7. How do you guarantee safe use of AI?
Data security and compliance are built in from day one, given that Claimbee handles sensitive medical and personal data:
ISO 27001 certified
Fully GDPR compliant, with all data stored and processed within Europe
Transparent AI: extracted data is always shown with clear visual indicators so lawyers see exactly what was read and where it came from
Working toward SOC 2 compliance as enterprise and insurer clients scale up
The approach to AI is deliberately transparent. Lawyers always see what the system extracted before confirming it, keeping them in control.
8. What do your most successful users have in common?
The firms and lawyers that get the most value from Claimbee:
Are willing to invest in adapting their workflow to gain a more uniform, future-proof process
Actively look for ways to make their practice more efficient and sustainable
Give structured feedback and engage with Claimbee's team to shape the product
See technology as a complement to their legal expertise, not a replacement
The key differentiator is mindset: the most successful users treat Claimbee as a partner in building better workflows — not just a tool they installed once.
